How to check your UP Board 10th result
Method 1: UPMSP result portal
- Open one of the three official sites: upmsp.edu.in, upresults.nic.in or results.upmsp.edu.in.
- Click the High School (Class 10) result link.
- Choose your district and the exam year.
- Enter your roll number from the admit card and the security code shown on screen.
- Submit. Save the result as a PDF or screenshot straight away.
Method 2: DigiLocker
- Go to results.digilocker.gov.in or open the DigiLocker app.
- Choose UP Board, Class 10 and the exam year.
- Enter your roll number and date of birth, then download the marksheet. It can take a while to appear after declaration.
Method 3: SMS
Some education portals list an SMS format (UP10 roll number to 56263). The board’s own website does not list it, so treat it as unofficial and use the portal or DigiLocker first.
Stay safe: Checking a result is free. Nobody can “find” your roll number or speed up your result for money. On result day, fake result sites and apps appear and collect personal details. Use only the official domains above, and do not post your roll number or date of birth on forums or comment sections.
Keep ready: roll number (check every digit against the admit card), district, exam year, and date of birth if you use DigiLocker. Lost your admit card? Your school can provide your roll number.

Understanding your result
The result page shows your personal details, a subject-wise marks table (theory, practical and total) and a final result line. Check the first section carefully the moment it opens.
- Passing marks: 33 out of 100 in each subject.
- It is provisional. The online result is a computer-generated score card, not your original marksheet. The original is issued separately through your school.
- DigiLocker validity: Under India’s digital locker rules, DigiLocker documents are treated as equivalent to originals. Some schools still ask for the paper copy as part of their own admission process, so confirm with the school you are applying to.
Convert your marks into a percentage
Class 10 is marked out of 600 (six subjects of 100 marks). Percentage = total marks ÷ 600 × 100. For example, 587 marks is 97.83% (the 2026 topper score), 540 marks is 90%, and 435 marks is 72.5%. If your result shows a different maximum, use that number instead of 600.
Compartment and improvement exam 2026: what happened
The compartment exam is for a subject you did not clear. The improvement exam is for a subject you passed but want to score higher in. The board ran both for High School together.
- Application window: 6 to 30 June 2026. Fee reported: ₹256.50 per subject for Class 10.
- Exam date: 28 July 2026.

Scrutiny (re-checking) of answer books
For the 2026 exam, online scrutiny applications closed on 17 May 2026, with a reported fee of ₹500 per subject, and region-wise scrutiny results followed on 6 July. Scrutiny checks totalling errors, unmarked answers and marks entered wrongly. It is not a fresh evaluation, so expect small corrections, not big jumps. The window is short each year, so apply within days of the result notice and confirm the current fee on the board’s notice before paying.
Choosing your Class 11 stream
Look at marks subject by subject, not just the total. A student with 92 in Maths and 70 in Social Science needs different advice from one with the reverse, even at the same total.
